Marlborough (often spelled Marlboro) is a city in Middlesex County just 30 miles west of Boston. It has great access to 495 for those headed north the New Hampshire or south the Rhode Island. The population was 38,499 at the 2010 census. Marlborough has entry level condos starting in the mid $150's and larger townhomes ranging from the mid $200's to the $400's. Single families range from the mid $200's up to the mid $800's. Marlborough became a prosperous industrial town in the 19th century with many shoe factories- both Frye Boots and Rockport Shoe and made the transition to high technology industry including:
Marlborough has about 2,000 hotel rooms and over 60 restaurants. It's also a major recreational destination, home to North America’s largest indoor ice skating facility, and the New England Sports Center. Marlborough is also a scenic city, with plenty of conservation areas, parks, trails and beaches for the outdoor lovers. Solomon Pond Mall, the area’s largest fashion-shopping destination, and the Apex Center of New England, Apex Entertainment the region’s newest and largest entertainment complex, offering all kinds of recreational activities for those who prefer staying indoors. Marlborough is also home to the region’s largest Labor Day Parade.
Marlborough is also home to Fort Meadow Reservoir which is a full recreation lake with waterfront homes.
It's schools include the Advanced Math and Science Acadamy one of the top-ranked middle-high schools in the state.
